Here is Carmen + Derek. These two were full of giggles and smiles while we walked around the PI Institute in Waterloo – such a good time. This couple is so sweet I caught myself smiling while I was editing their engagement photos. If they were like this shooting their engagement pictures, I can’t wait to shoot their wedding. See you two lovebirds in August for your BIG day!

Boy English teacher + Girl English teacher + Thailand = Happily Ever After.

…Sigh…

Carli and Owen have friends and family all over the world who flew into Toronto to celebrate their marriage. There were warm smiles, hugs and laughs from the morning to the sparklers at night. Such a sweet couple to end my 2011 Weddings.

Michelle + Tyler • engagement

Here is Michelle + Tyler. Michelle is a photographer and Tyler is a Sociology major. When I found out Michelle was a photographer I froze for a second. I thought to myself, “OMG, I’m shooting a fellow photographer. I hope she’ll like her pictures”. With a nervous stomach knot and personal criticisms running through my mind, I pushed through and decided to give it all I got.

I met up with them at their apartment in Toronto and walked around their neighbourhood for their pictures. As we walked and talked about our world travels my stomach knot loosened. Michelle and Tyler are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They have such genuine personalities accompanied with the warmest smiles.

At the beginning of the shoot they told me that they were awkward in photos and not used to being the centre of attention. I was ok with that. But once I started taking their pictures, my camera fell in love with them. My thought of needing to coach them went out the window – their connection with one another was so natural and felt “just right”.

I don’t think they could hear me, but a lot of sighing was happening behind my viewfinder. Believe me when I say, I had to keep this blog post small, I wanted to put a all of their pictures up.

Congratulations Michelle + Tyler. Even though your wedding is 9 months away, I can’t wait to capture it. I seriously CAN’T WAIT.

You gotta love clients that have a daring side to them. I suggested we Jaywalk and they were cool with it….

…then I pushed their daredevil side one more time…I wanted them to kiss in the middle of the busy street while traffic was stopped at the lights on either end…they did…man,I have the best clients ever!
