Here is Michelle + Tyler. Michelle is a photographer and Tyler is a Sociology major. When I found out Michelle was a photographer I froze for a second. I thought to myself, “OMG, I’m shooting a fellow photographer. I hope she’ll like her pictures”. With a nervous stomach knot and personal criticisms running through my mind, I pushed through and decided to give it all I got.

I met up with them at their apartment in Toronto and walked around their neighbourhood for their pictures. As we walked and talked about our world travels my stomach knot loosened. Michelle and Tyler are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They have such genuine personalities accompanied with the warmest smiles.

At the beginning of the shoot they told me that they were awkward in photos and not used to being the centre of attention. I was ok with that. But once I started taking their pictures, my camera fell in love with them. My thought of needing to coach them went out the window – their connection with one another was so natural and felt “just right”.

I don’t think they could hear me, but a lot of sighing was happening behind my viewfinder. Believe me when I say, I had to keep this blog post small, I wanted to put a all of their pictures up.

Congratulations Michelle + Tyler. Even though your wedding is 9 months away, I can’t wait to capture it. I seriously CAN’T WAIT.

You gotta love clients that have a daring side to them. I suggested we Jaywalk and they were cool with it….

…then I pushed their daredevil side one more time…I wanted them to kiss in the middle of the busy street while traffic was stopped at the lights on either end…they did…man,I have the best clients ever!

Sarah + Bob • Wedding

When Sarah and Bob told me that they were having their wedding at the Steam Whistle in Toronto I was excited. I love that venue with it’s high ceilings, exposed brick and glass windows. These lovebirds invited their close friends and family for an intimate cocktail reception to share in their celebration. It was night filled with lots of laughs and memories to treasure.

Thank you Sarah and Bob for letting me capture your special day. Enjoy the pics everyone.

We started the day off by getting ready at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel.

Sarah found her dream dress just a few weeks before her wedding. Wowza!

Lovin’ all of these shoes…hmmm, if I were a bridesmaid which pair would I wear?

Then it was a quick cab ride just down the block to Steam Whistle for the ceremony and reception.

I had to post this pic to show you the detail and ruffled layers in her Vera Wang gown. LOVE IT!

Caitlin + Sari • Wedding – Toronto, Ontario

On the drive to Caitlin’s home, the clouds were gathering with the odd drizzle here and there. But by the time we arrived to her home, it started to pour like crazy. We crossed our fingers hoping that it would stop because Caitlin and Sari’s wedding was to take place outdoors at the beautiful Eaton Hall. But the rain won that day and the ceremony was held indoors. The rain held off for a little while in the afternoon, just enough time for some outdoor portraits. Caitlin and Sari kept their spirits up since they surrounded by loving family and friends the entire day. Not only that, this was their first marriage ceremony they had planned. The next day they would be leaving for Lebanon for their second ceremony! How fun would that be?! I could only imagine what that wedding ceremony and celebration would be like. I was hoping that they would mistakenly put me in their suitcase so I could see it for myself. Must put Lebanon on my list of places to visit in the future. ;)
