Damis Jr. + Kaileb – Portrait

I love watching a family grow. I shot Amy and Damis’ wedding in Cuba a few years ago and since then they’ve had two new additions. First came Damis Jr. and now there is sweet baby Kaileb. Amy and Damis, you make the cutest baby ever…how about having one more just for me?

Enjoy the pictures everyone!

First up, Damis Jr.

Such a little stud muffin already.

Damis Jr. is so sweet with Kaileb, what a good big brother.

Your turn Kaileb.

He is so sweet I want to eat him!!!

I watched him fall asleep while I was taking pictures of him, so priceless.  :)

Baby Maya

Baby Maya is such a cutie patootie even when she cries. Not sure why but I’m attracted to photos of babies crying. I think it’s because it evokes emotion and since becoming a mother, I just want to cuddle and soothe the baby even more. I met up with Lori and Trevor at their home to capture some newborn portraits of their sweet new addition.

After a feeding and into Daddy’s arms Maya was one happy baby again.

My favorite picture from the shoot – so sweet and precious.

Fabric Galore

With the wedding season wrapping up at the end of next month I decided to dig out the quilt fabric I’ve collected throughout the year.  I thought I had about 3 or 4 groupings of fabric to make quilts out of but when I started digging through my drawers, I noticed that I don’t just have enough for 3 or 4 but enough fabric to make at least 10 quilts. That’s right, TEN. I guess you could say I hoard material but if something catches my eye or if a good sale is on, I’ll buy it. So when I pulled out my stash I got a real eye opener as to how much work was in front of me. A LOT. Not only did I have jelly rolls, fat quarters, and 1/2 yards of fabric, I’ve added a sewing project – making a set of curtains for our guest bedroom out of this awesome chevron material I bought on sale. Errrrr let’s see how that goes.

I am also trying to remember to take pictures of all of the quilts I’ve made so far. I will post some pictures of finished projects once I get some of these quilts done…then you can see everything as a whole.

But for now I thought I would take some pics to share with you what I have in store for myself. Wish me luck! And the search for quilt patterns begins…
