As I sit here looking at these maternity pictures of my good friend Heather I don’t know what to say. I’ve had a 18+ year friendship with her and I sit here staring blankly at my screen. Come on Lisa, think…think about all the memories from the years through highschool to this point of mommyhood. Wow, years fly by so fast these days. The one word that keeps popping into my mind when I think of her is beautiful. She is always the girl that is smiling, full of life and somehow, she makes you feel so comfortable around her. She’s been like that ever since I met her back in Grade 9. After highschool we kept in touch through phone calls and emails. Our friendship is one where you can just pick up where you left off, with no awkwardness at all – those friendships are the one’s you treasure and know will last a lifetime. At this point in our lives, not only are we still good friends, we’ve become mother’s around the same time. It is definitely another new chapter in our lives and I know we’ll share many mommy stories together.
So when Heather asked me to take some maternity pictures of her, I was delighted. When I arrived we gushed over what she thought she was going to have and she showed me how prepared she was for this special baby’s arrival. Ooooo baby, baby, you have no idea how much love is waiting for you! Enjoy the pics everyone.

***UPDATE*** Since I am posting this later than expected, Heather had her baby March 25th, a girl named Estelle.
Congratulations Cameron and Heather. I’m sure I’ll be taking pictures of her soon so stay tuned for a post just for Estelle!

This little sweetpea, Matilda, was born five weeks early, I guess she just couldn’t wait to meet her mommy and daddy. Matilda’s mom is my good friend Andrea whom I’ve known since college. She is quite the character so I’m wondering if Matilda will be just like her? Hee hee!
I was delighted to meet this little bundle of joy and to take some pictures of her. When I was holding her, it made me think back how Zen was like at that stage. My vision was blurry – It was as though I couldn’t see how he was so small and delicate before, but now I’ll have little Matilda to help me remember. Zen came with me on that day and he was quite the handful. He was teething and didn’t want me to leave his side at all. So between Matilda’s feedings and Zen’s bursts of crying I got some snapshots of her sweetness. Enjoy the pics everyone. Welcome Matilda.
