Shirley + Chris • e-session

This past November we went to visit my amazing family in Boston. I always love going to Boston, not only because I get to touch base with family again but the city is just fantastic. This time around Adam, his father John and I attempted the Black Friday adventure for the first time. With an early morning departure we got some amazing deals! I would definitely do it again.

About a month before this visit my cousin Shirley asked me if I could take her engagement pictures while I was down. I couldn’t say no…I was honoured! I had met Chris a couple of times beforehand on previous trips and he is a great guy and a great fit for my cousin. They are so cute together and I can’t wait until they get married. Not only am I attending their wedding in the fall, but Shirley asked me to be a bridesmaid! Wahoo! A double honour! Stay tuned for pictures this fall with me being a part of a wedding instead of taking pictures of them. :)

We headed down to Boston Common for pictures. Such a beautiful city with so much history. I can’t wait to be a part of this wedding…this means more family time and trips to Boston!

Congrats Shirley and Chris. I’ll see you soon!

Sarah + Bob • e-session

Sarah and Bob were engaged at the 2010 Olympics, how cool is that?! Such a great event to pop the big question. You could celebrate Canada’s gold medals and being newly engaged at the same time for days!

I met up with this couple on a frigidly cold day uptown Waterloo and they were absolute champs because they didn’t mind taking off their warm jackets for some shots.

Can’t wait to shoot your wedding at the Steam Whistle this summer guys!

Zen – 4 months

Yes it has been a while since I blogged, I know, I’m bad. I’ve been so busy shooting, editing, and spending some well deserved time with my baby boy Zen. So to catch up I’d like to say happy belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2010 was a whirlwind for me; first pregnancy, moving to a new home, and on top of all that, a lot of photoshoots. Thank you to all my 2010 beautiful couples, you were all amazing and I’m so happy I was able to be there to capture your special day. They were all so memorable. Thank you.

It’s now 2011 and I feel that it will be a year of lots of change and discovery for me and my business. I can’t wait! But first things first, I need to catch up on some blog posts. I’d like to start with some pictures of Zen. I have to stay on top of his monthly picture posts – he is growing so much everyday. It still amazes me that he came from me…life is a beautiful thing.

It was exciting for Adam and I to have our  little one for Christmas. Even though Zen was too young to be excited, we were excited for him! We are already planning what we’ll do as he gets older and the traditions we’ll start with him at Christmas. This year he did a good job trying to unwrap his gifts, but I think he was more fascinated with the paper itself and getting it into his mouth – I know it will be a completely different story next year.

So enjoy the pics below of my little man this past December.

Zen with Santa at the mall...doesn't he look thrilled? hee hee!

My little Santa!

Drooling with "brrrrrrrrr" sounds with Daddy for his 4 month shot.

Giggling hard at Daddy for the first time...I'm so glad I got to capture this moment. I loved the sound of it.

Shot for the book. Love. <3
